Ok for my last project it is another one of six invitations that I made for my daughters third birthday party we are having next weekend. I have become addicted to embossing powder. I used cranberry embossing powder on the ice cream and the words to help make it pop. I made this invite using the fanfare workshop from Close To My Heart. I hope you have enjoyed the hop this weekend!!! Thanks for all your comments and becoming a follower. If I get to 100 followers during this blog hop I will be giving away a stamp set from Close To My Heart!

You next stop is the Oh so talented Kristy! Happy Blogging!!!

I also had to make a card for a swap I am in where we couldn't use any background or texture paper we had to make it ourselves. So all the texture you see on the cake I stamped it myself. I used cardstock from Close To My Heart and all the stamps and embelishments are also Close To My Heart. Please leave a comment and become a follower. If I get to 100 followers during this blog hop I will be giving away a stamp set from Close To My Heart! Come Back tomorrow for another great Birthday suprise!

For my first project I have a birthday card that I made for my husband. Yesterday was his birthday and my daughter and I made him his favorite cake and did up this card for him. I wanted a manly card so I started going through my papers and I came accross some scraps from the You Rock collection with Close To My Heart. I embelished it with some ribbon and brads that are also from Close To My Heart. Please leave a comment and become a follower. If I get to 100 followers during this blog hop I will be giving away a stamp set from Close To My Heart! Come Back tomorrow for another great Birthday Card!

I saved the best for last. I have done cards the last three days so I did a layout for today:
This was a picture of my daughter last year right before she turned two. My brother snapped it and everyone kept asking me if I curled her hair. No her hair is natural curly. I had been wanting to put this in her scrapbook for some time and this blog hop inspired me to get it done. I used a little bit of everything on this layout. I used the Fanfare paper from Close To My Heart for the background and circles, I used paper I picked up at Hobby Lobby for the letters, the stars on the circles came from Michaels, and the stars on the side came from Hobby Lobby. I used my Cricut to cut out the letters.  I will be giving away a set of the July SOTM for anyone who leaves a comment all four days and becomes a follower. If I reach a hundred followers I will throw in an extra stamp set from another stamp of the month.
Your next stop is Kristy! Please make sure that you leave a comment and become a follower of my blog to be included in the drawing that Lisa is having. Happy Blogging!!!

Ok for day 2 I have again made another card because that's what I love!
All materials are from Close To My Heart. I used the Fanfare paper packet and the July SOTM. On the flag I used embossing powder. This was my first time using it so it was a learning experience for me. I enjoyed it and will be doing it again. The pinwheel idea came from a fellow card maker from Operation Write Home. I truely enjoyed making this card and I did twelve of them for my June swap. I will be giving away a set of the July SOTM for anyone who leaves a comment all four days and becomes a follower. If I reach a hundred followers I will throw in an extra stamp set from another stamp of the month.

The So Very Blessed stamp comes with our Miracle Workshop kit which you can get all this at my Close To My Heart website. Please make sure to become a follower and leave a comment. Father's Day

Ok how many have your father's day card made. I had mine made a month ago. Fathers day is June 19th so don't wait!!!! I love that I can make mine at home and not have to go to the store and fight with the crowds and stand there and look through tons of cards trying to find the right one for my dad. I can make it right here at home and it comes from the heart!!!

I made this card using the May SOTM from Close To My Heart. I love circle's! It just makes the card different.

Birthday Card

This was a birthday card I sent to my grandmother for her birthday. She couldn't believe that I did it myself. She kept asking me if I bought it from someone. I got the pinwheel idea off of Operation Write Home. I used paper from Close To My Heart and the stamps are from Close to My Heart too. It just goes to show you that with the right tools a person can bring out their creative side and their family would be amazed. I was a little bit afraid at first to try and do the pinwheel, but once I did I enjoyed it so much that I am using it on my cards for my SWAP in June. So come back in a couple of weeks for more pictures using this technique.

The Liebster Blog award is given to bring newer blogs into the light.
Thanks so much,Brenda from Random thoughts of a Scrapbooker, for thinking of me! It's a great way to share blogs that might not otherwise have been noticed and should be! As recipient you must share the love and pass it along to others, as well as these four things:

1. You must post on your blog and tell a little about the award and
announce your 3-5 picks.
2. Let those know you have chosen them.
3. Copy and post the award on your blog for all to see.
4. Have fun and continue to inspire

The 3 recipients I have chosen for this award are, in no particular order...

1. April Nourse at Curls and Grins
2.. Nicole at Nicole's Creative Zone
3. Theresa at Purple Turtle Sonja
So girls, collect your award and spread the love around!

Pay It Forward

Pay It Forward
I found this over at Deb Foti's Scrapping Mamma  .. she is doing this pay it forward.. so I thought.. what a great idea.. :)
"Pay It Forward" is the idea of blessing someone with a random act of kindness without expecting anything in return. It’s passing on a kindness, hoping that your recipients will do the same, and forming a never-ending chain of goodwill. But it isn’t only kindness, it is also a means to connect and share instead of just keeping it to ourselves.

"I promise to send an original creation to the (1st) 5 people who leave a comment here. They must, in turn, post this on there blog, and send something they make to the 1st 5 people who comment on their status."

Here's what you need to do:
1. Leave a comment on this post. I will send a handmade gift to the first 5 commenters.
2. Create a post on your blog offering the same.
3. Send a handmade item to your first 5 commenters.
4. It must be sent to your 5 people sometime in 2011.
Please do not sign up unless you are fully committed to making your 5 items!
